| William Barth Osmundsen, a former member of Portraits Inc., has held major exhibits in New York, Oslo Norway, Houston, Baltimore, Newport, RI and Stamford CT. In 1976 Bill created his ongoing Bronzes from the Sea series. In 1978 King Olav V presented Osmundsen trade mark sculpture “At the Helm” as the City of Oslo Award. Bill's Sterling Silver Miniatures have been commissioned and sold by both Cartier Inc., NYC and David-Andersen, Oslo. 1n 1983 the Artist was commissioned by the America’s Cup Committee to create an official series on the Cup races. In 1981 the Artist began casting his own silver sculptures and expanded this foundry operation while living in New Hampshire to encompass large bronze pours. In 1997 the Frisco Art Council in Colorado commissioned Osmundsen to cast his tribute to “Ski for Light” known as Art for Sight in bronze in honor of the 80th birthday of Ski for Light founder Olav Pedersen. As well as being a bronze founder Osmundsen also worked in Copper Repousse creating 4 massive Copper Weathervanes by commission of two individual New Hampshire % Percent for Art competition Awards. Recent commissions and presentations have included the “Eagles Flight” to the Boy Scouts of America. “Restauration” in bronze honored the first Norwegian Immigrants to New York for the Norwegian Immigration Associations 2000 Ellis Island Exhibit.
