Mystic Seaport is an outdoor maritime museum . Located on a 40 acre waterfront site in the town of Mystic, Connecticut, the Museum exhibits historic tall ships and small boats, a New England coastal village and extensive collections of art, shipmodels and artifacts.

Mystic Seaport's collection of paintings comprises well over a thousand pieces, concentrating on the time period from the War of 1812 to World War II. There are over 600 oil paintings, over 500 watercolors and many drawings.
