| Located on Fisherman's Wharf at the coroner of Channel Islands Blvd. and Victoria Ave., the Ventura County Maritime Museum is the focal point of Chanel Islands Harbor's entertainment center.
The Museum is dedicated to the interpretation of the world's maritime history and is acknowledged as housing the finest collection of maritime art and ship models on the West Coast. The art collection spans the range of marine painters from the 17th Century Dutch to contemporary artists. An international parade of models of historic ships make up a "Genealogy of Sail" presentation representing nearly 5,000 years of sailing history. The Museum also provides and educational program in cooperation with the Ventura County public school system.
The Museum is open seven days a week; hours are 11 to 5. Suggested donation is $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children under 12. Group tours, special activities for school groups and social events can be arranged.
